SECOND ANNUAL “PATRIOTS PATH” SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

SECOND ANNUAL “PATRIOTS PATH” SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Launched in 2023, the Patriots Path Scholarship Program is an extension to NYCLB’s current Military Outreach Programs (providing assistance to Veterans and Active Duty Military families). Patriots Path will provide assistance to High School Seniors enrolled in the Sea Cadets, Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) and college-level students enrolled in Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC), to help offset the cost of their college-level education. Students will be selected for a scholarship award ($1000 per student), based on merit (GPA 3.0 or higher) and needs (priority given to students not already receiving an ROTC scholarship), and review of their written essay.

NYCLB has again donated $1000 to the scholarship fund, with a 2024 goal of $8000, to award the scholarship to five students in 2024, and build a base in the fund for following year(s). We are reaching out to businesses in the greater LA and OC area to help us meet this year’s goal.

As of February 1, we have reached $5,250 in total donations! THANK YOU to all the donors that made this possible. See a list of donors here.

We still have until May 1, 2024, to accept donations, which is the deadline for students’ applications. The donation and application link is:

Student selection for the scholarship award will be made in June 2023.
