The 2026 Election Cycle is now officially underway. Each year, our club follows a structured, transparent process to ensure fairness, clarity, and strong member participation. As we begin this season, we are pleased to share the committees who will guide the nomination and election process, along with instructions and resources to help members participate confidently.

Submitting Your Nomination

Members interested in serving on the Board must submit a Nomination Form for consideration by the Nominating Committee.

How to Complete the Nomination Form

• Complete Parts I and II, including signing and dating bottom of the form. If needed, attach a separate word document highlighting your experience, skills, and any leadership or volunteer roles you’ve enjoyed. This information will be distributed to our members as written.
• Leave Page 2 blank for now. It is only needed if you are not placed on the Nominating Committee recommended slate and decide to self-nominate.
• Submit with your word document by the preliminary deadline of August 31, 2026, Email to NomCom@NYCLB.org, which reaches all Nominating Committee members.

Self-Nomination Window

Although the Election Timeline notes that the self-nomination period begins August 1, members do not need to wait until that date to submit their Nomination Form. You are welcome to submit your completed Page 1 as soon as you are ready, and earlier submissions are sincerely appreciated. The Nominating Committee will review all nominations as they are received.

After the Nominating Committee finalizes the recommended slate, any individuals not included will be notified and informed whether they are eligible to self-nominate. Clear instructions will be provided at that time.
